Random Notes From the Southern Hemisphere
Random notes, photos and musings from the "Land Down Under". Lame and self-serving I know, but a good way to keep you all updated as I'll never be any good at emailing.

Thank you Isobel!
The DEVO action figure with the interchangable heads is possibly the coolest gift ever!!! And many thanks for the DVDs too -- much appreciated in the land of one snowy television station.
Glad you liked it. Been meaning to get you one for about a year.
I'm selling t-shirts at their show so I'll finally get to see them...and get PAID!!!!
"I can walk like an ape, talk like an ape, I can do what a monkey can do... God made man, but a monkey supplied the glue."
How crazy to get to see them half a world away from Akron -- very de-vo.
I know...the first album I ever bought with my own money (sorta')was Duty Now for the Future. Aunt Claudia asked what I wanted for xmas and she thought I said Dio...as in Ronnie James Dio (an interesting factiod from wiki: he popularized the "devil's horns" gesture. Dio says that his grandmother used to make the hand gesture to ward off the evil eye, which is very common among superstitious Southern Italians. The "horns," or "Corna," themselves are used to both scare away and give someone the "Malocchio" (the Evil Eye). So I exchanged a Heavy Metal tape for a lifetime subscription into the church of Devolution!
