Post Bush Fire Beach Walk
The black sediment is bush fire debris that fell from the sky.
Earlier that day we suffered through 42* (107*F) blasting westerly winds
and smoke choked the air. We all hung out at the beach
and wondered what we'd do if the fires came much closer.
At 2:30 there was a southerly change and the temp dropped 15-20 degrees in ten minutes.
We were all relieved but a total fire ban was in place until the day we left.
