Random Notes From the Southern Hemisphere
Random notes, photos and musings from the "Land Down Under". Lame and self-serving I know, but a good way to keep you all updated as I'll never be any good at emailing.

Update
We have arrived in Hue' to heat, heat, heat.
This place is so much quieter than Hanoi and Isobel
has had long swims in the pool and slept thru
the night for the first time all week.
We've hired bike to explore the streets w/in
the Citadel but have to hide out at the Hotel
all but early mornings and evenings due
to the heat. Isobel is quite the little sweater.
Will update photos when we get a more reliable
internet connection.

Hanoi 2009-Day One AM
Day One:
Not much sleep yesterday or last night.
Head out this am for cash and a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake.
Actually saw a turtle pop it's head out of the lake
and wink good fortune our way.
Isobel checks out a "Tat".Too popular by the look on her face.
Everyone wants to touch her or pose for a picture
or whisk her off to show friends.
Seriously, complete strangers take her from our hands
and pass her around the family.
Defenitely a baby loving culture.
She doesn't mind and it gives us a bit of a break.
